In rural areas, shrinking processes occur on almost all socio-economic levels. This affects people’s quality of life enormously. In order to counteract these processes, new problem-solving strategies for social challenges have to be developed, aiming to activate and strengthen a region’s endogenous potential. To achieve this, new forms of cooperation between public authorities, private-sector businesses and nonprofit organisations as well as the involvement of the civil society need to be encouraged. Concepts of social entrepreneurship are particularly important in this matter.
entersocial - Good Practice Transfer
In many European regions, local individuals and groups develop new approaches to tackle social problems. Most of them work without knowing each other due to missing opportunites to exchange their experiences and challenges, and thus the transfer of successful concepts and models.
With the project entersocial - Good Practice Transfer iq consult contributes to the dissemination of social innovation. Successful social entrepreneurial concepts from different European contexts are identified and analysed in terms of their transferability. This should encourage the development of appropriate strategies and measures to promote social innovation and social entrepreneurial dedication. It should animate to examine concepts of social business / social entrepreneurship or to develop and implement new concepts.
We focus our activities on the effectiveness of social innovations in the context of regional development. Impediments and incentives for the development and establishment of social innovation are analysed and illustrated through transnational Good Practice experience.
Target Group
entersocial Good Practice Transfer addresses to public and private decision makers, experts, private and non-profit
organisations and initiatives as well as (potential) social entrepreneurs.
Activities
As part of the project, analyses, action guidelines, case- and concept studies are created, and expert talks as well as study visits are carried out. The transnational dialogue on the topic will be expanded and intensified through the project. It intends to level the ground for the initiation of cooperative projects and joint projects of Brandenburg organisations with European partner organisations aiming at a sustainable cooperation.
Our European partners are:
Basque Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and New Business development (denokinn)
